Castle Trautmannsdorf and the Touriseum in Merano

The botanic garden on the castle’s hillside is opened from April until November and is worth to be seen. You can admire Mediterranean palm trees, olive trees and old local spices.
There are pavilions, coffeehouses, restaurants and meadows where you can get some rest. You could combine the visit to the botanic garden with a visit to the Touriseum, the museum telling the story of over 200 years of tourism in the castle.

Messner Mountain Museum Firmian

The famous South Tyrolean mountaineer Reinhold Messner runs a mountain museum in the historical castle Sigmundskron. On exhibition there are illustrations, photos, sculptures and mountain items.
