In Maranza you can hike in both summer and winter. No matter if you like long or short walks, if you climb up the mountain or use the mountain railway, if you eat in a hut or bring your own lunch, Maranza is the right place for hikers.
If you come in summer you will get Jochtal’s “almencard” through which you can participate on weekly hiking tours or use the mountain railway for free. Our hiking tips (right) show you some possible hiking routes.
Maranza’s themed paths are also very popular. The best example is the “Lindenweg”, which connects Maranza to Rio di Pusteria. The Lindenweg is one of South Tyrol’s most impressing cobbles paths. It is connected to the three Burgundian princesses Aubet, Cubet and Querre. During the escape from Attila they fainted on this path, but a miracle saved them: the spring gave them the strength to keep going.
