At the Festival of Queens, the crowned heads meet on May 1st for the Blossom Festival on the Naz-Sciaves apple plateau. The hay, onion and of course the apple queens warmly welcome you!

The local festival “Ratschinger Almfest” is celebrated along the Racines Alpine Trail – on seven mountain meadows that you may hike across and where, on this occasion, you may enjoy many South Tyrolean delicacies and live music.
At the end of summer, every community drives its cattle back from the alpine pastures to the stables. The cows are then splendidly dressed up for the drive down from the mountain pastures and a festive atmosphere vibrates everywhere.
The Vipiteno Dumpling Festival takes place in the old Fugger town every second Sunday in September. Come and try out more than 30 distinct types of dumplings served on a 300-meter table accompanied by folk music.
The Speck Festival in Funes is dedicated to another delicacy from our alpine country. Here, too, you can enjoy a hearty tasting while the world champion in bacon slicing shows off his skills.

The South Tyrolean delicacies that you may taste at the Rio di Pusteria “Genießergassen” (Gourmet Streets) are called Valler Struzn or Tirtlan. You don’t know what we’re talking about? Then it’s about time to get a taste of them!
Every year at the end of July, the Fane Alm Festival is opened with a field mass, during which the romantic alpine village becomes the scene of culinary delights and musical tunes.
The big Apple Festival in Naz-Sciaves takes place after the apple harvest. The current apple queen is crowned, and the fruit year is perfectly concluded with a harvest festival parade.
When the leaves turn colourful, the entire Isarco Valley has one single topic: Törggelen. In the traditional wine taverns and inns from Varna to Renon, everything revolves around the Isarco Valley Chestnut Weeks, a culinary highlight you should not miss.
On December 5, as soon as it gets dark, wild, rough fellows appear in the Isarco Valley – the Krampus. With their shaggy hair and masks, they go around the houses and spread plenty of noise and fun.
